Winston-Salem, Dec. 6—A $12 overcoat has been worn every winter for the past 44 years by R.F.A. Baker, prosperous farmer of Forsyth county, according to a sworn statement by Mr. Baker.
The overcoat was purchased at a local clothing store in the fall of 1880 when Mr. Baker was 18 years of age. He is now 62.
The coat is still in very good condition and is on display in the window of the store where it was purchased.
