Friends Give “Shower” to Mr. and Mrs. Thompson

A large number of friends of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Thompson tendered them at a “shower” on Monday evening at their home on Ashe street.

It was a complete surprise to Mr. and Mrs. Thompson, but they quickly rallied to the situation and gave their unexpected guests a very pleasant evening. The “shower” consisted of a generous number of useful and beautiful gifts.
