Deaths of Carrie Ethel Spencer and John Sidney Clark, Nov. 18, 1922

Little Girl Is Dead Here Today

Carrie Ethel Spencer, 5-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.A. Spencer, died this morning at the home, 112 Bencini street. The little girl’s death followed an illness of one week with diphtheria.

Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at Siloam church, near Denton, Davidson county, by Rev. O.L. Ruth, pastor of Holiness church here.

Funeral Is Held for J.S. Clark

The funeral of John Sidney Clark, who died at a local hospital Thursday morning, following an illness of several months, was conducted at the home, 417 Mangum avenue, yesterday afternoon by Rev. Charles P. Colbey, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, and Ensign Thomas of the local post of the Salvation army. The interment was in Oakwood cemetery.

Mr. Clark, who was a member of the Presbyterian church, is survived by his widow, six children, one brother and a sister.
