Unveiling exercises of a Boone Trail-Lakes-to-Florida Highway tablet will take place at the Farm Life School at China Grove Saturday afternoon. The exercises will be patriotic in nature and will be in connection with a flag raising by Junior Order.
A tablet has been presented to the Landis High School and will be unveiled by the school and the Parent Teachers Association. At these exercises the history of this section in the pioneer days will be emphasized.
The big moonlights have arrived at Mocksville for the tablets at the grave of Squire and Sarah Boone and will be unveiled at an early date. All along the Boone Trail Cross Line of the Lakes-to-Florida Highway, a series of patriotic programs will be carried out in connection with the unveiling of tablets at historic points in pioneer history during the school term of the coming winter.
