Boy's Decision to Shoot Insulator Results in Five Deaths in Martin Family, Jan. 14, 1925

Accident Brought Five Deaths

Rockingham—The Rockingham Post Dispatch, telling of the shocking accident here when three children of Mr. and Mrs. Pearl Martin by a charged wire which fell in a crowd of children after it had been released by a boy’s breaking an insulator with a shot from his rifle, says that two additional deaths in the same family may be ascribed to the accident. Mrs. Pearl Martin, mother of the children, was prostrated by the occurrence and the next morning, the Rockingham paper states, gave birth to twin boys neither of whom survived.
