Mr. Joel B. Hudson died suddenly near his home at Peacock’s Cross Roads Saturday morning about 9 o’clock. He was on his way to the home of his brother. It is thought that he had trouble with his car and got out to make some repairs when he dropped dead. He was found lying in the road. For some time he had suffered from high blood pressure and heart trouble, and while his death came as a shock, it was not entirely unexpected.
The deceased is survived by five daughters, the oldest of whom is 16 years old. His wife died two years ago. Mr. Hudson was 36 years old. Interment was made Sunday afternoon.
