Buie, March 14—Mr. and Mrs. Archie Odum and children of Lumberton spent Sunday with Mr. Odum’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Odum.
Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Bruce and family spent Saturday with Mrs. Bruce’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Tyner.
We are glad to learn that Mrs. Warren Tyner is improving after being very sick for the past few weeks.
Mr. Claud Davis of Raft Swamp attended the B.Y.P.U. here Sunday night.
Mr. W.A. Bruce spent Sunday at Raynham.
Mr. and Mrs. E. Townsend of Lumberton were visiting their brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. H. Parnell.
Mr. and Mrs. Babe Cook of Lumberton were guests of their uncle Sunday, Mr. A.L. Smith.
A large crowd from here attended the prayer meeting at Raft Swamp Sunday night. We sure did enjoy Mr. Bullock’s talk of the National Cotton Mill. Hope he will be out again.
Mrs. Jack Bate is a guest of her sister and brother-in-law this week, Mr. and Mrs. B.E. Odum.
We received a letter today from Mr. W.K. Culbreth, who is in Rocky Mount spending a few weeks with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gaithley. Glad to learn that he is enjoying his visit very much.
Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Davis are all smiles. It’s a girl.
Mr. Leon Kelly spent a few days at Peachland on business.
The quarterly meeting meets with the church here and we hope to have a nice quarterly. A welcome invitation is extended to everybody. We also welcome Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Prevatte and family to help in the singing. Hope to have some real nice singing.
Mrs. Roy Tyner spent Sunday night with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Davis.
Mr. and Mrs. Sandy Tyner visited Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Prevatte of Chilbarnsville Sunday.
Miss Bettie Davis was a guest of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ounil Davis, Saturday night.
Rev. W.D. Pridgon filled the regular appointment here the third Saturday night and Sunday p.m.
