Will Enforce a Law
Against Kid Drivers
Chief Lentz authorized the Record to announce this afternoon that he intended to enforce strictly
the state law prohibiting the running of motor vehicles by persons under 16
years of age. If people whose children drive cars want the law removed, they
can appeal to the legislature, which is now in session, the chief said; he
would enforce it.
Several narrow escapes from accidents have been reported
lately and today the chief was served notice that if he did not enforce this
law that papers would be taken out against him. The chief says he is going to
do it.
