Albermarle—Ralph Smith and James Stagg, both of Durham, were killed, and an unidentified man was perhaps fatally injured yesterday when the automobile in which the three men were riding plunged down an embankment and turned over, near here. Dr. W.C. Fitzgerald, of this town, who passed the scene of the accident a few minutes after it had occurred, brought the victims here.

Woman Is Killed in Auto Accident

Burlington, N.C.—Mrs. Henry James of Swepsonville, Alamance County, was thrown from an automobile eight miles north of Burlington on the Reidsville road yesterday afternoon about 5 o’clock, when the car in which she was riding collided with another car. She was rushed to a hospital late yesterday afternoon and died at 6 o’clock this morning. Her husband and brother were the other occupants of the machine. She is survived by her husband and 12 children.
