Madison, Sept. 1—Celebrating the completion of an excellent job of street paving, George R. Martin, paving contractor, and a number of his associates were hosts of a street dance here Friday night. Music for the occasion was furnished by Cantrells orchestra of Winston-Salem.
Young folks from almost every town and community any where in reach were here and while stars twinkled and jewels sparkled they tripped the light fantastic, or whatever it is they trip on such occasions, until the early morning hours of Saturday. The dance was an altogether delightful one, according to some of those present, and Mr. Martin and his associates were declared to be royal dispensers of hospitality. –Winston-Salem Journal
