Uncle Joab Crisp celebrated his 84th birthday, Sunday, August 13th, 1924.
Uncle Joe is the father of 12 children. Only six were present at the birthday dinner. There were 95 persons for dinner under the big walnut tree, where a long table was filled with nice rations until it almost groaned with the weight. All ate until they were satisfied, and had a lot left over.
Uncle Joe surely did enjoy himself, and seemed more like a man of 40 than 84. Several of his friends gave him nice birthday presents.
Uncle Joe has 52 grand-children and 21 great-grand-children.
We certainly hope to see many more birthdays like this for Uncle Joe.
