Mr. Lester Langston of Dunn and Miss Alice Britt of Bentonville township surprised their friends on Monday, December 29th, by going to Bennettsville, South Carolina, where they were married. Mr. Langston is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Uriah Langston of Bentonville township, while the bride is the young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cub Britt, also of Bentonville township.
At the same time Mr. Willie Flowers and Miss Pauline Best were married. The bridegroom, aged 18, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Flowers of this city, and the bride, aged 16, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Best of Wayne County.
