The Christmas tree at Calvary Baptist Church Christmas night was largely attended and enjoyed by all.

The B.Y.P.U social was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R.A.P. Barefoot Friday night. Refreshments were served during the evening. The occasion was greatly enjoyed.

Messrs. Charles C. Williams and Thomas Hollingsworth of Sampson called in this section Sunday.

Miss Annie Mae Williams and Mary Lou Rivenbark of Wilmington spent Sunday evening with Miss Carrie Belle Jernigan.

Mr. and Mrs. Joda Morgan of Durham spent the Christmas holidays in this section.

Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Lee and Ruth Morgan of Raleigh spent Christmas with Mrs. Morgan.

Mrs. Mary Bryant of Thomasville is visiting her sister, Mrs. J.H. Baker.

Miss Helen Butler of Pineland School spent the Christmas holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M Butler.

Miss Carrie Belle Jernigan spent Christmas with relatives in Selma.

Miss Lou Kattie Lee, who is teaching in Dunn, is spending the holidays at her home here.

Miss Maye Belle Lee spent last week with relatives in Sampson.

Mr. Rossie Barefoot, who is attending school at Chapel Hill, is spending the holidays at home.

Mr. and Mrs. Hobart Lee and Misses Marion and Ellen Jervis spent Christmas at Asheville.
