The Weil family of Goldsboro, many of whose members have attended the University, are celebrating this week the 60th anniversary of the founding of their mercantile business. It has grown to be one of the great business houses of eastern North Carolina, and the Goldsboro newspapers chronicle many expressions of goodwill from the community upon the celebration of the anniversary. Leslie Weil, one of the partners, who graduated in 1895, is a trustee of the University. His son Abram graduated last year, and another son, Henry, is now in the freshman class.
