Benson, Route 3, Jan. 9--Miss Lola Denning has returned to her home at Angier after visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Hardee.
Mrs. H.W. Thornton and children of Elevation spent last week in this vicinity with relatives.
Mr. G.C. Godwin happened to the misfortune of having his home burned Thursday night, January 8.
Mr. Donnie Gilbert has been confined to his room with mumps.
Miss Thelma Weeks spent last Sunday at Elevation with Miss Pauline Thornton.
Mr. Ransom Massengill of Durham spent the holidays here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Massengill.
