Mr. A.D. Harris Jr. and Miss Crockett Marry in Raleigh

Mr. and Mrs. A.D. Harris Jr. left yesterday morning by motor for a bridal tour to Washington after having been showered by rice from many friends here, who thus welcomed Mrs. Harris to Warrenton. The couple were married in Raleigh on Wednesday and motored here after the ceremony.

Mrs. Harris was formerly Miss Grace Crockett, a popular young lady of Dunn. Mr. Harris is an employee of the State Highway Commission.

Before the ceremony was performed by Dr. O’Kelly at the First Baptist Church in Raleigh, the bridal party were guests of Miss Mary Harris, sister of the groom, at a bridal luncheon served at the Peacock Alley Tea Room. Sweetheart roses as favors and an ice course, served in wedding slippers, lent a decided pre-nuptial atmosphere to the occasion.

Friends extend good wishes for years of happiness to Mr. and Mrs. A.D. Harris Jr.

Gifts, tokens of friendship, deluged Miss Virginia Gibbs at a miscellaneous shower yesterday afternoon given by Miss Janice Fleming. The Fleming home was made more lovely by autumn decorations and chrysanthemums.

The gifts came in the lap of a paper bride, pushed in the room upon a tea tray. They varied in selection but each carried with it the good wish of a friend.
