Mrs. G.A. Ramsaur, 61, Has Died, Oct. 13, 1924

Attends Funeral of Mrs. G.A. Ramsaur

Mrs. C.M. Sumner and daughter, Miss Mary Wood Sumner, are in China Grove to attend the funeral of Mrs. G.A. Ramsaur, widow of Dr. G.A. Ramsaur of China Grove, who fell dead Saturday afternoon at Salisbury while on her way to the home of Miss Edith McKenzie. Death was instantaneous and the cause was given as heart failure.

Mrs. Ramsaur was born in the Inverness Hotel in Lincolnton 60 years ago and was the daughter of Col. William and Georgiana Sumner Hoke, she is the mother of the late Hoke Ramsaur, missionary of Liberia, who died in Africa several months ago. She is survived by the following children: T.M. Ramsaur of Baltimore; Summie Ramsaur of Salisbury; Mrs. Bate Allen of Kernersville, and Miss Mary Ramsaur of Graniteville. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Virginia Hoke of China Grove.

The funeral and burial services were conducted today at 11 at China Grove.
