Three Divorces Granted, Other Cases Settled This Week in Superior Court, Oct. 25, 1924

Cases Disposed of in Superior Court

The following are among the cases disposed of this week in Cabarrus Superior Court:

W.W. Watts vs. C.H. Peck and J.D. Sides. Verdict of $300 for plaintiff.

Mamie C. Wall was granted divorce from B.L. Walls and given custody of their children. [Newspaper spelled her last name as Wall and his last name as Walls.]

The case of J.L. Miller vs. C.H. Harrington was compromised with plaintiff receiving $50.

In the case of Frank E. Furst and Fred G. Thompson vs. J.W. Rodgers, J.E. Miller and Joe W. Rodgers a compromise was reached. The defendants are to pay the plaintiff $740.10.

In the case of Dr. J.A. Bangle vs. J.T. Carter a compromise was also reached by which the defendant pays $20 and the costs in the case.

C.C. Withers was granted a divorce from Addie Withers.

Arthur C. Morrison was granted a divorce from Lucy B. Morrison.

In the case of W.H. Bost vs. E.G. Denny and R.O. Walter, a verdict was returned for the defendant. In the case of Minnie Bost through her best friend W.H. Bost vs. Denny and Walter a verdict was also returned for the defendant. In this case the verdict was set aside by Judge Stack and a new trial ordered.

In the case of Mrs. Lillie Waddell vs. The Albemarle Grocery Company the defendant agreed to pay $750 and the costs.
