Head of Salvation Army of the Carolinas in New Bern, Oct. 26, 1924

Major Barrett In City for Few Days. . . Head of Salvation Army in the Carolinas and Adjutant to Conduct Services Today

Major William Barrett and Adjutant Crispell of Charlotte, heads of the Carolinas division of the Salvation Army, arrived in the city yesterday on an inspection visit and while in the city are assisting the local Post with several services.

This evening at 7:15 o’clock they will have charge of an open air service at the Elks Temple corner, and at 8 o’clock will conduct a service in Tabernacle Baptist church.

Both Major Barrett and Adjutant Chrispell are talented musicians and their contributions to the music is always a feather of their services. The public is cordially invited to attend both services this evening.
