Whereas our Heavenly Father has taken our aged brother, S.R. Paham, from us to His Eternal Home; and
Whereas we have been appointed by Rock Grove Church as a committee to draw up resolutions of respect; be it resolved:
First: That our church has lost a loyal and consistent member.
Second: That the state has sustained the loss of a good citizen who fought for the cause of the Confederacy.
Third: That the people of this community have lost one of their best neighbors.
Fourth: That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the Roxboro Courier, a copy to the Biblical Recorder, and a copy be sent to the family.
Committee: W.T. Buchanan, J.E.Montague, J.W. Wilburn
