Don Hanks left yesterday afternoon for New York where he will spend several days on business.
“Teddy” Rea arrived in the city yesterday and will spend the week-end here with his parents.
Phillip Dixon left yesterday afternoon for Beaufort where he will spend the week-end with friends.
S.D. Norton arrived in the city yesterday afternoon and will spend several days here with relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Wood of Fayetteville, formerly of this city, arrived here last night and will spend several days here visiting relatives.
F.J. Heath left yesterday afternoon returning to Baltimore after spending several days in the city with friends.
Harry Faust left last night for Morehead City where he will spend several days on business.
Miss Margaret Guire of Greensboro arrived in the city yesterday afternoon and will spend several days here visiting relatives.
John Jonas left last night for Knoxville, Tenn., after spending several days in the city on business.
Harry Foot left yesterday morning for Columbia, S.C., and Macon, Ga., where he will promote home talent plays.
C.E. Foy returned to the city yesterday afternoon from Pollicksville where he will spend the day on business.
Rev. W.C. Blanchard left yesterday morning for Wallace where he will spend several days.
Conrad Hock of Roanoke, Va., arrived in the city yesterday and will spend a few days with his wife at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Ball, on East Front street.
George Waters returned to the city yesterday morning from Wilmington where he has been on business.
Miss Beulah Potter left yesterday morning for Washington, N.C., where she will spend several days.
Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Mallard, accompanied by Mrs. Sarah E. Bledsoe, of Raleigh, motored to the city yesterday to spend a week-end. Mr. Mallard was formerly master mechanic for Norfolk Southern shops here.
Mrs. Nita Roberts of Philadelphia will arrive this morning for a visit to relatives in this city. She was formerly Miss Nita Baxter of Stonewall and is a sister of Mrs. F.F. Armstrong and Messrs. T.J., J.J., T.S. and W.K. Baxter, all of this city.
Mrs. W.M. Fowlkes of Rockingham is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Rowe on Spencer avenue.
Miss Georgia Keene of Durham, a member of the faculty of the Standard Training School for Sunday school and church workers, which opened a week’s session here this evening, is the guest of relatives during the week.
