Ocala, Oct. 10—At a beautiful party given this afternoon by Mrs. Carl Ray, the engagement and approaching marriage of Miss Pearl Ray and Mr. Clyde Long was announced. The marriage will be a brilliant event taking place next month at the Presbyterian church in this city.
Miss Ray is the younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ray, who are numbered among the most prominent and influential citizens of the state, and is a most popular and attractive young woman.
Mr. Long is a young man of sterling qualities, connected with one of the banks of Winston-Salem, N.C., and to that city he will take his bride to make it their home.
