Asheville, Jan. 2—The barn of Harvey Cochran, who lives about five miles from Abbeville, was struck by lightning during a storm yesterday afternoon about 3 o’clock and burned to the ground. All feed stuff and four five mules were lost. The approximate loss is estimated at $5,000, with only $500 insurance.
