Salisbury, Aug. 12—Rev. J. Ed Thompson, pastor of Main Street Methodist church, who was taken suddenly ill while in his pulpit one Sunday in June and has since been with a daughter at High Point, is definitely out of active work until conference, which meets in Gastonia October 20. Mr. Thompson was here this week on his way to the home of another daughter, Mrs. L. C. Gidney, at Shelby, where he will be for some time.
The charge of Main Street is being supplied by Rev. R. M. Hauss of the faculty of Rutherford College.
