E.M. Wallace, manager of the Charlotte branch of the Southern Oakland Company, was elected president of the Charlotte Automotive Trades Association at its weekly luncheon at the Southern Manufacturers Club Monday. He succeeds H.D. Horton of the Charlotte Vulcanising Company, who has been president for the past year.
James P. Harris for the Burwell-Walker Company, was elected vice-president. Directors elected were Lane Etheridge of the Pyramid Motor Company; T.M. Glasgow of the Komo Supply Company; Lee Folger of C.C. Coddington Inc.; and W.A. Montgomery of the Carolinas Automobile Supply House. W.M. Jones has been re-elected executive secretary.
The new officials will be installed at the meeting of the association next Monday.<
No other matters of importance were taken up at Monday’s meeting, the hours being devoted to the election of officials.
