Aye, with five Sunday services, if we are not rewarded with fruits and flowers of the kingdom, surely won’t be the preachers’ fault.
A huge crowd attended the Mother’s Day services on Lightning Rod Ridge.
E.H. and W.D. Edwards, and H.D. Shankle motored to Asheville Saturday and found Mrs. E.H. Edwards some better. Mrs. H.D. Shankel and little sons, Billy Sunday and Sam Boone, have just arrived from the land of flowers to spend the summer in the balmy breezes of our good old North Carolina.
Many of our people attended the school entertainment at Mill Spring and found it splendid.
Jack Guffey and wife spent the week-end at Mrs. Guffy’s old home.
Fox Mountain school closes Friday, May 13. A little program will be given Friday evening at 8 o’clock. All are invited to attend.
