Joe Kelley, a white man hailing from Philadelphia, stole a horse and surry from a Mr. Woodruff of Northampton county last Friday. The horse was in the rear of some of the stores. He was soon captured and tried before Justice J.W. Pierce who bound him over to next term of the Superior court, and being unable to give bond was sent to jail. He said he would steal a horse, automobile, or anything to get out of this d—n town.
