Smith, Timmons, Rape Obituaries, May 9, 1921

W.H. SMITH

W.H. Smith, only brother of Rev. W.A. Smith, pastor of Pritchard Memorial Baptist church of this city, died at his home in Franklin county Sunday morning. Mr. Smith was at the bedside of his brother when he died, having left the city last Thursday upon learning that his brother was critically ill.

The funeral was to have been held at the home in Franklin county Monday morning at 11 o’clock.

The deceased was 49 years old and a well known farmer in Franklin county.

He is survived by his step-mother, Mrs. H.P. Smith of Graham; his wife and six children of Franklin county; two sisters, Mrs. W.J. Lancaster of Lexington and Mrs. Griff Lutterloh of Pittsboro; a half sister, Mrs. C.L. Smith of Burlington; and a half brother, Wheeler Smith of Durham.

W.A. Smith is expected back in the city Monday night.

MRS. S.J. TIMMONS

Funeral services for Mrs. S.J. Timmons, who died at her home, 499 Louise avenue Saturday morning, were to have been held at the home Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock.

Rev. W.B. Lindsay, pastor of First A.R.P. church, will be in charge of the services. He will be assisted by Dr. Luther Little, pastor of the First Baptist church.

The pallbearers will be R.N. Hunter, D.C. Smith, S.W. Dandridge, W.G. Farnum, M.W. Woody and Boyce M. Brown.

BRICE RAPE

Brice Rape, 10-year-old son of H.S. Rape of Wingate, died Monday morning at 5 o’clock at the Presbyterian hospital. The body left the city Monday morning at 10 o’clock for Wingate, at which place the funeral and interment will be Tuesday afternoon.
