Confederate Soldier Dies at 84 Years

Mr. Angus Fortenbury died Wednesday morning of last week at his home near Five Forks in the Polkville section following an illness of some time.

Mr. Fortenbury was a soldier in the confederacy and was 84 years old when he died. He leaves a wife, who is also 84, two sons, John of Cleveland and Columbus of Lincoln county, three daughters, Mrs. George Campbell and Mrs. Bryan Jones and Mrs. George Ledford of upper Cleveland. The funeral was held Thursday of last week and the interment was at Farrell’s Grove, a new church at the Five Forks.
