Oxford, August 9—Constable E.N. Bragg, assisted by Sheriff E.D. Hunt’s deputies, destroyed 3,000 gallons of beer near Meddling’s store late Thursday evening. They found a furnace nearby that was hot but no still was in evidence. After destroying the beer, they made a search of Flem Jackson’s home and found 6½ gallons of whiskey which was brought back to the sheriff’s office. Jackson has not been arrested yet.
