Mr. and Mrs. Charles Depass Jones of Lancaster, S.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Heath, to Luther Thompson Hartsell Jr. of Concord. The wedding will take place in October.
The announcement of the engagement of Miss jones and Mr. Hartsell will be of paramount interest in both North and South Carolina owing to the prominence of both families.
Miss Jones is a beautiful girl of brunette type and has spent much time in Concord visiting friends. Miss Jones attended Mary Baldwin College and later Sweet Briar College.
Mr. Hartsell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Luther T. Hartsell of this city. The former is a prominent attorney. Mr. Hartsell is an attorney associated with his father. He attended the University of North Carolina, where he was a popular student. He is a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
