Miss Gladys Alphin is visiting Miss Ruby Bartlett this week.

Mr. Walter Howell stopped Thursday and Frida on his way from Wilson to Morehead City.

A beautiful lawn party was given by Misses Elizabeth Wilkinson, Ruby Bartlett and Mary Talton at the home of Miss Wilkinson. the lawn was well lighted by Japanese lanterns. Numerous games and delicious fruit punch was enjoyed by all.

Salem Sunday School gave their annual picnic Thursday. many were invited to enjoy the delightful feast and refreshing lemonade.

Rev. Tam Page, the holiness preacher, is visiting the community.

Messes Siddie Bell Lancaster and Alice Wilkinson have returned from summer school at Chapel Hill.

Miss Pearl Rivenbark is the weekend guest of Misses Hazel and Anna Seymour.
