Two Die When Motorcycle Collides with Car, Aug. 11, 1924

Two Young Men of Raleigh Die of Injuries. . . Were Hurt Last Night When Motorcycle and Auto Collided

Raleigh, Aug. 10—Robert Drew, 18 years old, a special messenger for the local post office, and Ludlow Moore, 19, died at Rex Hospital here early today of injuries received last night when a light touring car ran into the motorcycle they were riding, 12 miles from the city.

Moore’s skull was crushed, and both Moore’s arms and legs were broken, and he sustained internal injuries.

Richard Underwood, aged 7, son of John Underwood of Durham, who was with A.D. Underwood of Wilson, (who) was a passenger in the automobile, was slightly injured.
