Mrs. Lewis Cannon’s sister, Miss Wike of Cullowhee, is a Dillsboro visitor.

Mrs. Edwards of Asheville, who before her marriage two weeks ago was Miss Anne Tallent, spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Jarrett, of this place.

Mr. and Mrs. Will Enloe and children, of Atlanta, are guests of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Enloe.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Odell Elliott August 8th, a daughter.

Mr. Harold Mehaffey has returned tohis home in Newton after spending some time at the Jarrett Springs Hotel.

Mrs. F. I. Watson and children are visiting friends and relatives in South Carolina.

Misses Johnsie and Eloise Medlock and Miss Netta Bridges have returned to their home at Morganton after spending some time with Miss Maude Leatherwood, of this place.

W. D. Starnes spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. M. Y. Jarrett.

T. O. Pargle of Asheville is visiting his mother, Mrs. George Pargle.

Miss Edith Jarrett spent Saturday and Sunday with friends in Franklin.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Tonler and Miss Mayme Tonler of Gastonia are spending some time with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Tonler.

Mr. Claude Pargle left last week for Cleveland, Ohio, where he will visit his brother, Mr. Fred Pargle.

Mr. Richard Sherrill and two children spent last week with relatives at Whittier.

Mr. Fred Frances of Canton was in town Thursday of last week.

Mr. H. R. Snyder left today to stay some time with his son in Canton.
