Mrs. Charles W. Johnston is lying helpless in Watts Hospital, Durham, with a fractured hip bone.
The injury was the result of a fall last week. The doctors say that her condition is improving, and in a letter to a friend in Chapel Hill, Mrs. Johnston says that the pain is much less severe than it was.
