H. J. Neely, 23 years old of Summertown, Tenn., held in the Wayne county jail since last Sunday night in connection with the automobile accident in which Dossie P. Traylor was killed, gave bond to the sum of $2,000 at 10 o’clock yesterday morning. Action on his case will be taken by the grand jury meeting for the next term of Superior Court. Bond was posted by Charles Owen of Raleigh and other friends of the young man.
Neely left yesterday for Raleigh to spend a few days. “I expect to stay in Raleigh only a short time and then come back here. I think I can quiet my nerves quicker in a place away from where the accident took place.”
