High Point, Sept. 11—J. B. Miller, of this city, was sent to the hospital last night with serious injuries after he had been attacked and robbed by an unknown man whom he described as big and dark.
According to information obtained by officers, Miller was held up at the point of a gun, and when he knocked the pistol from the hand of the robber, a fight ensued in which his collarbone was broken and other wounds inflicted.
Miller’s condition is much improved following hospital treatment. The man who held him up is still at large, while officers are scouring the city in search of him.
