Mr. Waverly Fitzhugh, who lives in Northampton county, met with a very great loss one night last week. Some thieves entered his smoke house and stole about 1,500 pounds of pork and 30 barrels of corn. The corn was stored in the smoke house. There was a terrible rain storm raging at the time, which completely washed away any tracks that might have been made by a wagon or automobile.
