Two Weddings, a Reunion and a Transfer in Salisbury Report, March 7, 1921

Salisbury, March 7—At the home of Mrs. Laura M. Lyerly at Granite Quarry, Rowan County, March 4th, her daughter, Miss Daisy Lyerly, became the bride of T.W. Huntley of Charlotte. The ceremony was performed by Rev. G.H.L. Lingle of Salisbury. The couple have gone on a bridal trip to northern cities and upon their return will make their home in Charlotte where Mr. Huntley is connected with the Hackney Brothers company.

Miss Winnie Davis of Granite Quarry and D.A. Vann of Macon, Ga., were married Wednesday evening at the Lutheran parsonage at Faith, Rev. G.O. Ritchie officiating. The couple will live in Salisbury where Mr. Vann is connected with Hartline and Faysoux.

A most enjoyable occasion was a family reunion at the home of Rev. Dr. George H. Cox, when his six sons and two of his daughters came to be with him. Dr. Cox is in his 84th year and recently retired from active service in the ministry of the Lutheran Church, where he served for 50 years.

J.H. Teague, who has been in charge of the Efird store here, has been transferred to the new Efird store at Wilmington and is to be succeeded here by Thomas Foreman from the Efird store at Lenoir.
