Members of the Crusaders and their young lady friends enjoyed a hike last night around what is known as “the little loop,” stopping near the rock quarry for a weiner roast and music, including songs by the high school glee club. The hike was chaperoned by Odis B. Hinnant of the Y.M.C.A., of which the Crusaders are a part.
On the return trip, the party stopped at the cemetery where Mr. Hinnant told several ghost tales in the weird surrounds of gravestones. One of the young men, dressed in a sheet, appeared in the rear of the company and nearly caused a sudden exodus from the abode of the dead. The “frame-up” caused a great deal of excitement and amusement. About 25 or 30 young people were present and took the hike which proved an ideal outing for all.
