While the Wayne National Bank occupied its new 10-story home on June 23 and 24, and held a “house warming” which was attended by several thousand people, visitors to the city continue to come in and inspect the new quarters, and express their wonder that a city of less than 100 (??) population could have such a magnificent structure.
President Frank Borden and Cashier W.E. Stroud are always glad to welcome visitors and to show them around the bank, explaining the many details of its construction, and this is always of interest to everyone.
Beyond a question of a doubt, the Wayne National building is one of the show places of Eastern Carolina, and will be for a long while to come.
