Prohibition Agents Had Active July, 1924

Prohibition Agents in the State of North Carolina Active

Salisbury, Aug. 12 (AP)—Fifty-four distilleries and 52 stills were destroyed by the Federal Prohibition Agents in North Carolina, during the month of July, according to the monthly report of Federal Prohibition Director A.B. Coltrane of North Carolina, made public today.

Other property confiscated and destroyed was valued at $26,707. Property seized and not destroyed amounted to $1,500. There were 45 arrests and 106 prosecutions.
