A Memorial Service for the late E. Everett Bickford will be held at the Municipal Park at 12 o’clock noon on Friday, August 1st. Rev. A.H. Manee, Rev. Charles P. Holbrook and Hon. Robert N. Page will take part in the service.
A movement is underway among the business men of Southern Pines to close every place of business in the town from 12 to 2 p.m. on Friday as a mark of respect to the memory of Mr. Bickford.
If the weather on Friday should be inclement, the Memorial Service will be held in the Baptist Church.
