The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person or persons instrumental in burning Neal’s new tobacco warehouse at Fairmont on the night of July 28th has been increased to $1,500, according to unofficial reports received here.
Officers are still working on the case, but no new developments have been reported. An insurance adjuster was in Fairmont last week, and it is reported that the detectives have been at work since it was apparent that the fire was of incendiary origin.
Messrs. Neal, Nelson and Neal, proprietors of the house which was burned, announce elsewhere in this paper that they have accepted the offer of Mr. E.G. Jones and will assist in the operation of the Fairmont Tobacco warehouse.
