Spend Day at Peach Festival at Lakeview Aug. 2, 1924

Peach Festival. . . Big Harvest Festival at Lakeview on Saturday

If there is anybody in North or South Carolina who is not acquainted with Sandhill Peaches, he owes it to himself to come to Lakeview next Saturday, August 2nd, when he will have the best opportunity he ever had in his life to see peaches, eat peaches and buy peaches. The management of Lakeview will hold a Peach Harvest Festival all day next Saturday, and at night there will be a Peach Festival Ball and the Coronation of the Queen of Peaches. This Peach Festival is being extensively advertised all over the two Carolinas.

One of the big features of the Festival will be a Curb Market for the sale of peaches in crates and baskets at the Packing House prices. This feature alone will be an inducement to a great many people to come to Lakeview next Saturday and secure a crate or basket of the finest Sandhill Peaches at a nominal price. Lakeview in itself is one of the most attractive spots in the state to spend a day or week-end with its splendid boating, bathing, fishing and dancing. There is no better place to be found to spend an enjoyable day, and with a peach festival with peaches of all the Sandhill varieties thrown in and on exhibition, what more could a man want? Everybody will want to come early and spent the entire day and enjoy a sociable time with all of their friends who are sure to be there. The peach season is at its height and Lakeview is right in the heart of the great Sandhill Peach Belt. Every body in North and South Carolina has heard of Sandhill Peaches but a large number of Carolinians have never seen one. Now is their big opportunity to get some of the best Sandhill Peaches that can be grown and at the same time enjoy a glorious day’s outing at one of the best resorts in North Carolina.

All roads from all parts of the State lead to Lakeview, which is pretty near the center of the State. Moore County is noted for its hospitality as every one knows who has ever attended our Sandhill Fair. The same generous hospitality will be bestowed upon all visitors to Lakeview next Saturday, August 2nd.
