Funeral services for Homer Emory, 34 years of age, who died suddenly Tuesday morning, following a heart attack, were conducted this afternoon from the home. Rev. E.C. Morris, pastor of the Edgemont Free Will Baptist church, was in charge of the services. Interment was made in Maplewood cemetery.
Mr. Emory is survived by his widow and six children: Joe, Jack, Homer Jr., Pauline, Hazel and Ruby Emory, all of this city, and three sisters, Mrs. J.D. Rogers, Mrs. J.E. Carpenter and Mrs. W.H. Ferrell, also of Durham.
Pallbearers were A.W. Cain, W.S. Tally, Tom Goss Bernie L. Daniels, Jim Smith and Edger Hodges.
Floral bearers were Ola Mae Ewing, Elsie Ewing, Mary Taylor, Goldie Ragan, Jennie Benton, Daisy Ellis, Lura Evans and Dora Foster.
