As a result of a hearing before Judge Cranmer in civil court here, George B. Herring of ??ston township, has been ordered to deliver 160 bales of cotton of the 1922, ’23, ’24, ’25, and ’26 crops to the North Carolina Cotton Association. Herring had signed contracts with the co-ops agreeing to deliver 160 bales several years ago. He contended that he had not delivered the cotton to the association because it was held by creditors.
No cases were disposed of in court yesterday, Judge Cranmer having gone to his home in Southport for the week-end. The verdict in the Herring case was brought in Friday but the judgment of the court was available only yesterday.
