Wilson, Dec. 12—Mike Witney, Wilson county farmer, was instantly killed and Robert Raper and Gillie Daniel were severely injured Sunday afternoon when the machine in which the three men were riding skidded over an embankment and turned over three times at Five Points near here. Whitney was thrown 20 feet and Raper and Daniel were hurled into a ditch. It was said the machine was traveling 65 miles an hour when Whitney, at the wheel, attempted to take a sharp curve.
