Capt. N.W. Lillington of Yadkin county died at his home on Monday morning last. He leaves one brother, Mr. John Alexander Lillington of Yadkin county, and one sister, Mrs. E.T. Clark of this place, also a wife and a son by his first wife, Mr. George Lillington.
He will be remembered by some of our older citizens, he having practiced law here at one time with Mr. E.T. Clark. He was a great grandson of General John Alexander Lillington of the Revolutionary war.

Death of Wm. M. Martin
A correspondent from Henderson to the Greensboro News announces the death of Mr. Wm. M. Martin. It says:
“William M. Martin, aged 71, a respected citizen of Henderson, passed away at his home on Turner avenue at 1 o’clock Thursday afternoon. Death came after a long period of illness and failing health, which followed a stroke of paralysis suffered several years ago.
Mr. Martin is survived by his widow, two sons and four daughters. The sons are W.L. Martin of this city and H.E. Martin of Salisbury, and the daughters are Mrs. D.S. Owens and Mrs. R.W. Robertson, both of this city, and Mrs. Virginia Myrick of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. L.M. Whitehead of Norfolk, Va.”
Mr. Martin was a native of Halifax county and lived here many years. His old friends in this county will learn of his passing with deep regret.
