Six Students Expelled from Wake Forest College for Hazing, Dec. 18, 1921

Students Expelled from Wake Forest Wake Forest, Dec. 17—Six Wake Forest students were expelled here today for hazing freshmen at different times during the Fall term of college. From a statement given out by the faculty it seems that no conclusive proof was obtained upon any of the men expelled for the recent hazing of Ralph Patterson which took place Wednesday morning. The names of the men expelled were not made known by the official statement of President Poteat.

Dr. Poteat’s statement follows:

“At a fill meeting of the faculty of Wake Forest College this morning, upon report and recommendation of the student senate committee, six men in addition to the previously dismissed were expelled from college for hazing. In this case, as invariably heretofore, the faculty has been united on its policy toward hazing. The student senate committee and dean of the college are continuing their searching investigation.
